Road closure Anzac Day 2025

On April 24 and 25, road closures may affect your journey to the Centre. Please find below information on how to get to the Centre on these days.

How to access the site on 24 and 25 April 2025.

If you are planning to visit the Sir John Monash Centre between 23 and 26 April 2025, please ensure you have booked your visit here.

Access to the site

Road closures on the D23 (between Villers-Bretonneux and Fouilloy) may impact your journey to the Sir John Monash Centre and the Australian National Memorial from noon on 24 April:

24 April :

  • Vehicles and their passengers must access the Australian National Memorial and the Sir John Monash Centre site via Villers-Bretonneux along the D23 from Villers-Bretonneux in the direction of Fouilloy. There will be a barrier across the road, however you will be allowed through on presentation of a valid booking.
  • The Route de Villers-Bretonneux (D23) will be closed to all traffic from the Fouilloy end.
  • The D23 will close completely from 6pm. No access will be possible to the Australian National Memorial from this time.

25 April:

  • The D23 will remain closed throughout the course of the day.
  • The Sir John Monash Centre and the Australian National Memorial will remain accessible by shuttle from Villers-Bretonneux. The shuttles will depart from the public car park at 1 rue de la Gare in Villers-Bretonneux.
  • Group coaches will be allowed to access the site on presentation of a valid booking.
