This year, the Sir John Monash Centre will be closed for annual maintenance from 29 January to 9 February 2024 (inclusive). This is an important period for the Centre and its facilities to ensure the best possible experience for our visitors throughout the year.
The Sir John Monash Centre and its installations need very special care. The smooth running of our audio-visual elements makes a visit to the Centre so memorable to our visitors, providing them with a state-of-the-art interpretive experience. During our annual maintenance closures, we use the time to monitor equipment and make repairs where necessary.
During this busy period for the Centre and its staff, the only visitors to be found in the galleries will be technical specialists, IT engineers, electricians and software programmers. Everyone will be working behind the scenes to ensure that the Centre reopens in peak condition.
Please note that during the maintenance closure, the Australian National Memorial and the Villers-Bretonneux Military Cemetery will remain open, though access to the tower may be restricted at times.
